The mascara was okay, but it smudged a bit

I was really excited to try this mascara. The wand is different it's a rubber curved one but instead of having bristles all around the wand it's just got one set on either side length wise. Now I didn't have any major problems with the wand or which side to use to use to apply mascara to my top lashes or bottom lashes. I do have small eyes and sparse lashes so sometimes I got mascara smacked on my eyelid or under eyes trying to get too close to the roots and had to wipe it off. But overall the wand is doesn't have a big learning curve to use and could possibly help some people give their lashes a slight curl. The thing about this mascara that makes it a fail for me is that it smudged so quickly but not only that but somehow the formula when I applied it to my lashes it was like it had tiny flakey, clumps and just wouldn't smoothly and evenly coat my lashes. My lashes would seem to have barely any product but then have tiny little flakes somewhere on the lashes which was just weird for me. The smell is odd like a weird herbal scent, it's good it's not fragranced but I don't think I've ever noticed how a mascara smells as much as this one and I checked the tube it wasn't expired. Then it would smudge so fast like within twenty minutes. It was supposed to be a nice, creamy formula that you could build up and I could sort of but I never could get it nice and dramatic, just dark and clumpy. I had to wear another tubing mascara on top otherwise it would smudge and flake super quickly. On top of that it's expensive so I kinda expected more from this mascara. I wouldn't recommend this if you have monolids like me or really hooded lids or really sparse or short lashes. If you have good lashes and they don't touch your lids this could work for you but if you're after volume or length this isn't the mascara for you.
