Zip: How it works

Zip

How does Zip work?

It’s easy. You shop online as usual then select Zip at checkout. The first time you use Zip, they will need some details from you: Name, Date of Birth (you need to be over 18), Address and Drivers Licence Number. This is so they can do a quick automatic identification and credit assessment. The Zip system does this instantaneously and if it’s all approved, you agree the instalment plan and they take the first instalment.

Zip then let us know that your order is ready to be sent, and we send it right away!

Do you really mean no interest and no fees?

Yes – but if you miss an instalment Zip will charge a default fee. The default fee is $10 and a further $10 for every week the payment is outstanding. Late fees are capped at $40 per order.

Can I make an early repayment?

Sure! Zip will give you a customer account that you can log in to where you can make changes. If you have any trouble, you can email the team directly through zipmoney.co.nz

Why wasn’t I accepted? I’m totally good for it!

We’re sorry but the Zip system assesses a number of different factors and includes inputs from third parties such as identity verification and credit assessment providers. Unfortunately, they can’t provide any detail as to why you might have been turned down this time, but it might be worth trying again later. You can still always use another payment method.

What limit can I buy up to?

Zip is available for orders between $1 and $800 on Beauty Bliss, however your available credit may differ - particularly if you already have a Zip account that you're using with other retailers.

Will you remind me about my instalments?

Yes, Zip will send you a text and email the day before they take the instalment payment, but it is still down to you to ensure there are sufficient funds in your account.

I'm in Australia, can I use Zip?

Unfortunately Zip is only available for New Zealand orders at this stage.
